1.  In the boat preparing nets with Dad, James and the hired guys. I see the man called Jesus talking w/ Peter & Andrew on the beach.

2.  Jesus came down the beach w/ Peter & Andrew. He asked us to go w/ him & he’ll show us how to catch men instead of fish.

3.  James & I left Dad and the hired men in the boats. We’re following Jesus now!

4.  Hanging out w/ Jesus at a big wedding party in Cana. Very cool!

5.  Just heard Jesus’ mother tell him they’re out of wine. That is serious dishonor for bridegroom’s family.

6.  Jesus’ mother told the servants to do whatever Jesus says. Now he’s got them filling up 6 huge jars w/ water.

7.  Jars are filled. Jesus told the servants to take the water to the host of the wedding. Water? Really?

8.  The host tasted it and said bridegroom had saved best wine for last. When did the water turn to wine?

9.  Sabbath in Capernaum. Jesus is teaching. Everyone’s amazed w/ his knowledge & wisdom of Scriptures. Never heard anyone speak like this.

10.  Disturbed man just screamed at Jesus in synagogue! “You’re the Holy One of God & you’ve come to destroy us.”

11.  Jesus made him shut up w/ “Quiet! Get out of him!” Evil spirit threw the guy to the floor and left.

12.  Jesus drove out a demon. Everyone is talking. Even the demons obey his words.

13.  Still processing what happened at synagogue. Heading to Peter’s house w/ Jesus, Andrew and James.

14.  Peter’s mother-in-law sick w/ high fever when we got here. Jesus just took her hand & raised her up. She’s cooking for us, healthy now.

15.  Jesus puts his hands on the sick and makes them well. Demons are coming out of people, calling Jesus “Son of God” but he shuts them up.

16.  It’s dark now but people keep bringing their sick & troubled to Jesus at Peter’s house. Nearly the whole city is here.

17.  Before dawn. Jesus is missing. I’m off to look for him w/ Peter and the others.

18.  Finally found Jesus. We told him everyone is looking for him, but he wants to go to other villages and preach.

19.  A man w/ leprosy just showed up & fell to his knees before Jesus. He said, “If you want to, you can heal me.”

20.  Jesus touched him, in spite of the leprosy. He said, “I want to heal you. Be clean.” The man’s skin turned smooth, leprosy gone.

21.  Crowds are thick today. People from all over countryside are here, even religious teachers. Jesus has healing power of God on him.

22.  Jesus is teaching. The ceiling opened up & a paralyzed man is being lowered on a stretcher right in front of Jesus.

23. I thought Jesus would heal the guy, but no. He said “Friend, I forgive your sins.” Wow! That got the religious teachers talking.

24.  But Jesus called them on their gossiping. “Which is easier: to say ‘I forgive your sins’ or ‘Get up & start walking’?”

25.  Room is dead quiet. Jesus says, “I’m the Son and I can do either or both.”

26.  Jesus spoke to the paralyzed guy “Get up. Take your bedroll & go home.” Everyone watching, holding their breath.

27.  The guy just got up & walked out. I can still hear his praises to God. Everyone is talking now, amazed. People are giving glory to God.

28.  At Matthew’s house for dinner. Earlier today he was a tax collector, but he left it all when Jesus told him to come w/ him.

29.  Everybody’s at this dinner – tax men & other lowlifes included. Religious teachers asked us why Jesus hangs out w/ crooks & sinners.

30.  Jesus answered them “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or sick? I’m here inviting outsiders. Invitation to a changed life inside & out.”

31.  The religious guys want to know why Jesus’ followers party instead of fast & pray. They’re questioning Jesus now.

32.  Jesus answers “To celebrate a wedding you don’t skimp on wine & cake. You feast. When bridegroom is w/ you, you party. Fast when he leaves”

33.  Back in Jerusalem for Sabbath. Near Sheep Gate at pool, Bethesda. 100s of sick here. 1 man has been an invalid here for 38 years.

34.  Jesus asked invalid man if he wants to get well. He said when water is stirred no one will help him into pool.

35.  Jesus told him, “Get up. Start walking.” He did! Just got up & walked off!

36.  Religious teachers heard Jesus healed on Sabbath & are out to get him. Jesus said, “My Father works even on the Sabbath & so do I.”

37.  Jesus talks w/ us about this. “The Son only does what he sees the Father doing. You haven’t seen the half of it yet…”

38.  “The same way the Father raises the dead & creates life, so does the Son.”

39.  “The Son gives life to anyone he chooses. Neither he nor the Father shuts anyone out.”

40.  “It’s urgent that you listen carefully. Anyone here who believes what I am saying right now has at this moment real, lasting life.”

41.  Jesus said, “Anyone who believes what I’m saying is no longer condemned to be an outsider.”

42.  “To believe the Father is to take a giant step from the world of the dead to the world of the living.”

43.  “All work the Father gave me to finish & I’m doing confirms that the Father sent me. The Father testified about me in the Scriptures.”

44.  “It’s urgent you get this right: time has arrived – right now – when dead men & women will hear voice of the Son of God & come alive.”

45.  Jesus says, “I’m speaking to you this way so you will be saved.”

46.  Walking through field of ripe grain w/ Jesus & others. Religious teachers see us eating the grain & accuse us of breaking Sabbath laws.

47.  Jesus reminded the religious teachers that David ate bread off the altar in the sanctuary…

48.  Jesus said, “The Son of Man is no slave to the Sabbath; he’s in charge.”

49.  In the meeting place on Sabbath. Jesus is teaching. Man w/ crippled hand is here.

50.  Religious teachers are watching & waiting to catch Jesus breaking the Sabbath again.

51.  Jesus tells man to stand in front of everyone. “What kind of action suits Sabbath best? Good or evil? Helping or leaving helpless.”

52.  Silence as Jesus looks everyone in the eye. He says to the man “Hold out your hand.” He holds it out & it’s good as new! Healed!

53.  Huge crowd following Jesus. Swarms of people wanting to see for themselves. We got a boat ready so Jesus wouldn’t be trampled by crowd.

54.  Jesus has healed many & now people are pushing forward to touch him, wanting healing.

55.  This is chaos & crazy. Evil spirits are falling down before him, crying out “You are the Son of God” but Jesus shuts them up.

56.  Hiking mountain with Jesus and some of the others. It’s good to be out of the chaotic crowd.
